About this item
Product Type: This piano mute felt strip is a practical musical instrument accessory designed for upright piano service, repair, and tuning work.
Sound Control: As a piano part, it helps string vibration and soften the sound so pianists can practice with less noise.
Material: Made from wool felt, this piano mute felt strip offers a dense, flexible structure that is suitable for repeated installation use.
Size and Structure: The upright piano mute strip measures about 1350 mm long, 75 mm wide, and 2.5 mm to 1.5 mm thick, with a tapered design from thick to thin for different sound areas.
Use Feature: Also used as piano practice felt, it supports reduced-noise home practice practice and helps disturbance within shared living areas
This piano mute felt strip is a useful musical instrument accessory for upright piano tuning, repair, and everyday maintenance. It is designed as a practical piano part that fits the needs of technicians, teachers, and pianists who want better control over piano volume during service or practice.
By slipping into position as an upright piano mute strip, it helps dampen string vibration and lower the overall sound level. That makes it easier to practice at home, work through passages late in the day, or carry out tuning jobs without adding unnecessary noise.
The wool felt construction gives the strip soft yet firm feel, so it can sit securely in place during use. Its tapered form, from thicker to narrower sections, is especially helpful for covering different sound ranges across the keyboard, while the 1350 mm x 75 mm size provides ample length for standard upright piano applications.
For pianists and technicians alike, this piano practice felt offers a simple way to make daily piano use more considerate and more comfortable. Whether you are setting up an instrument, doing maintenance, or trying to maintain a quiet environment in a shared home, it provides a straightforward noise-reducing solution that supports focused, quieter playing.
